This is when the series really starts to take off, as the main hero Kim
Kinnison gains his full abilities with the lens and works to defeat the space pirates. Here we
also learn the size of the foe he is fighting and the writing of Doc Smith is quaintly archaic but fitting for the style of the novel. A great read and worth following the series so far.
