A classic novel made into the film
Soylent Green it makes predictions based on Malthus's great work about the overpopulation of the world. Seen through the eyes of two New Yorkers, the book makes paints a dire picture about the future (1999) that are starting to resonate now. Bleak, disturbing but a page turning read - highly recommend if you like dystopia novels.
