Gamma World: The Postman

After completing the negotiations in Sea Port, over the news comes report that WAR has broken out in Barter Town.  The Church of TV has launched a crusade against the unbelievers of Barter Town.  The scene of the reporter in the burnt out Chikkinobbs Franchise spurs the group to marshal their troops to restore order and business.

Gathering the two trains, Claw's mercenary force, Zig and Zag, the Flying car, the cockroach, the 'Dino-chicken' cavalry and the players of the Chikkinobbs league - the Industrial Fliers, the Seaport Seagulls and the BT Barbarians.

Scouting the area, the group discover that the barter town troops have retreated towards the cinema complex and that the Zoopremacists have captured the out of town malls and some of the the quadrants of Barter town.  The Church of TV had captured the remaining areas and a stalemate had developed.

Focusing on the Zoopremacists, who have finally tried Zeek's patience (at least what little there was) they decide to focus on this group first and go after Lenin, the last remaining Serf leader.  Using the lampposts to swing up they clamber onto the roof and Zeek uses the holoscanner to see through the walls to locate and War uses his insight to guess where Lenin would hide.  In a flurry of bodies, Zeek splits to distract the guards yet they fail to sneak past them resulting in a frontal assault with War wrenching the doors off.

Lenin and his two Orlen guards, ready for the assault and the battle rages in the street around the abandoned restaurants.  Stunning Lenin out of the fight, the group focus on taking down the Orlens with a barrage of claw strikes, flames and pure battering.  Grinding them down, they finally have the opportunity to strike at Lenin and soon capture him.  War, a voice of 'Spike' ringing in his ears - let there be no competitors - rams a force pike through Lenin's head and literally decapitates the organisation of the Zoopremacists who scatter into the wilds.  Looting the area, each gains an Omega tech and the they recruit the two Orlens.  They also found a mini-tank.

After successfully routing the Zoopremacists, the group turned their attention on the Church of TV albeit with different agendas.  An aquatic assault on the island that the Church was based on became the plan, and taking the ship they successfully navigated the rapids and the trusty holoscanner identified the way through the mine field.  Tabbatha using her chameleon shield sneaked into the Church, killing the lights so that War could assault the docks with the Seagulls and Orlens.  Tabbatha meanwhile climbed the tower and attached the sky box with its recordings into the communications network.  Zeek then gave an impassioned speech about subverting the message of the Church of TV, how they sacrificed a plasma tv for this and we should return to the true programming of the Church, only to have the batteries fail.  The Church of TV rally and War has all the chief executives executed in an attempt to demoralise and scatter the followers but the sheer horror of this act inspired them to hold out.  Tabbatha seeing the situation spiralling out of control, manually activates the box, disrupting the programming of the Church's robots and swung the victory to the group.  However, as they were taking over the control room, the chief leaders sent by the Robot King attack to reclaim this pivotal room.

War unleashes the tank onto the building, causing 'random shelling' around the area and the three golden cyborgs, the Producer, the Director and Casting.  Fire raged, grenades were thrown, Tabbatha attacks War, all the usual combat experiences occur as the group make short work of these agents of TV.  Eventually the tank is called off, but not before the mast crashes into the lake.

Deciding to take the fight to the remaining Church of TV troops holed up in the Red Quadrant, War leads a shock and awe assault of the Dino-chicken cavalry while Tabbatha successfully disrupts the robots, causing them to fire randomly.  Zeek leads a flying assault using cockroach to fly the flitter and launching himself into a cooling tower, exploding an pouring a torrent of water to disrupt the defenders. War blasts out with radiohead to control the robots but makes himself a target instead.  The Tabbatha's 'minor alterations' to the tanks allows the boosters to plow the tank into Barter town, taking out several shops, walls etc! Zeek from his roof top position using the holoscanner pin points the leader and Clicky the cockroach launches a pin point missile strike removing the command and control.  The flag of the chikkinobbs corporation is raised over the town, becoming an iconic image of the future and the cry of 'we will hear the lamentations of their cyborgs!' echoes across the field.  Zeek then blasts war with the cracked ray gun as he was about to assault the Barter Town leadership and both fall unconscious.  Tabbatha removes 'Spike' from War's personality and gives him an ethics sub-routine (written by a cat).

The negotiations with the Barter Town leadership soon occur and they are voted as non-executive members of the Chikkinobbs corporation and rebuilding work occurs - called the Barter~knobb initiative!!

A blue door way shimmers into existence and through the portal falls War, weak from the forced transition.  Two heavy lifter robots grab him and chain him to the wall.  A smaller robot, armed with various drills and blow torches approaches War, who cries ' I will tell you nothing, you will not get me to talk', then a voice over the speakers says ' no War I don't expect you to talk ... I expect you to die'.

The dusty dark tunnel stretches towards the south, the old metro rail lines rusting in the centre, the three heroes enter the tunnel to rescue their friend ... yet who knows what lurks in the darkness ahead?
