After the break …
Scene 8
The Khanjar is pursued by a sleek blink ship that teleports black armoured assassins into the corridors. A fight ensues with Samono knocked out and Zeb fainting out, as he does in times of personal danger and the remaining crew killing off the assassins. The Lieutenant Assassin takes Caribdis to the bridge under the belief that his men have the ship. The lieutenant attempts to teleport out with Caribdis but he breaks free and the lieutenant is shot and killed.
Scene 9
Marcus uses his computers to determine what the ship is doing and enables us to track it down (it seems to be jumping using its own beacon not those owned by the Caliphate) and its limited range means it cannot escape.
Cut Scene
On the Blink ship the Master Assassin turns to the gaunt Chinese pilot – a networked pilot to challenge Zeb – and commands her ‘to implement it’.
Scene 10
Zeb is looking paler than normal but plugs himself into his warm familiar environment – to find the Chinese girl had hacked into our system a brief battle ensued and she is flung from our system. Seriously damaged the stealth ship was easily captured.
Scene 11
Ammar manoeuvres the Khanjar to capture the disabled ship and succeeds before the can self-destruct and destroy the technology. On board we succeed in capturing the Assassin Captain and a critically ill pilot. Marcus discovers the technology has organic components but more importantly Caribdis recovers his purple files.
Scene 12
Whilst the fight is going on space, Samono and Talia have a deep theological discussion in the Captain’s lounging room about the nature of the universe in an attempt to reconcile Somono’s view of world with his own theology. Somono suffered a massive crisis of faith, losing his focus and ends staring into space.
Scene 13
Talia, a prominent member of the Decados family [who no longer shares their ideology] has a discussion as to why they want Charibdis, including a discussion of the weird technology developed by the Decados especially genetically made soldiers. The assassin declaims that the information on the purple files, if released, would cause wide spread anarchy and in no way should be given to the Argent Empire. Talia was under significant pressure to attempt to destroy the documents but resisted the pressure.
Scene 14
The crew, Ammar, Talia, Zeb and Marcus, with Caribdis in the Captain’s lounging room open the purple files:
A top secret report from the Magellan Confederacy report an event 3 years ago about a beacon accident and the subsequent rescue mission into hyperspace enacted by a prominent member of the Confederacy describes the events as the approached the point where the first ship disappeared. The telepath on board suddenly started bleeding from the eyes and other orifices then his head suddenly exploded.
The Decados sent a subsequent mission to investigate this and a number of other similar events including random rifts opening, including the lost liner that the Khanjar had investigated in series 1, as well as psychics dying in a strange manner. The Decados mission contained 200 telepaths who were shielding and scanning and the audio file played out the screams of these and an eerie popping noise, followed shortly by the sound of the missile tubes launching.
The visual files showed small disc shaped and looming sphere shaped ships with arching bolts between them which destroyed the Magellan Dreadnought. The final words in the audio came from the unknowns:

This creation will end in fire!
The files also revealed that the Decados are building a fighting force [blink ships and faster more agile controllers] to fight these ‘aliens’ in hyperspace but Caribdis maintains that this is a HOAX! to enable the military to take over the Magellan Republic.
Next week on Pulsars and Privateers:
Can Caribdis get to the planet bordering the Magellan Confederacy to get the extra proof he needs?
Will he engender the trust of the crew?
