Brown, Eric (2007) Helix, Solaris

Helix has a good premise - a series of worlds linked to form a spiral or helix, each with their own microclimate. Into this world come the humans and we find out about the builders of this marvel. The characterisation I liked and the pace worked well, although the cultural development of races tended to ere on the side of religious which was a bit off putting. The ending seemed rushed considering the slow build up that had developed throughout.

Not the best Sci-fi I have read and I got what I wanted out of it pretty early on, so it was through perseverance that I finished this.
