The epic series finale was very good (not outstanding) and a little bit of a let down compared to how well written and structured the previous novels were. Overall, the series is highly recommended if you are a fan of David Weber and like clever dialogue between the characters.

Thanks, I've just ordered it from amazon! I dud enjoy the series - a real page turner.
I've read 1-3 and have 4-6 on my shelf, although I was a little shocked that the thrust of the tale (as I see it so far) finishes at 5? Bizarre. Still, afters etc.
Good stuff though.
:) no spoilers from me on this.
