Gamma World: Farenheit 451
The group completed their trade negotiations with the leaders of Barter Town, with Rocky still harbouring thoughts of taking over the town. Deciding to take the train to Industry Town, the group load their quad bikes and take their seats. The 'train' consists of a series of flatbed and metro carriages pulled by a steam engine, each carriage having two machine guns and a rocket launcher on each flat bed. Striking up a conversation with some workers from their destination, they quickly learn that they are not very well educated and that 'caps' appears to be a currency.
Amtrak, the owner of the railway, dressed in his 1880's suit complete with pocket watch and waistcoat, bargains with the group to transport chikkinobs and establish franchises on each of the trains. Some good negotiating and business talk by Tabbatha, between naps, established a good deal for the group including a bag of caps.
A rough day at the mill
Built into a massive complex of factories, huge vats of molten metal, the constant pounding of metal and the grinding of machines yet amongst the turmoil the proles live. Literally above the heads of the workers, the corporates are locked away behind their security. The group exit the train and wander into section 13 looking for the corporates.
Being directed to sector 11, the group wend their way through the masses of proles avoiding the mechanical dogs that hunt the vermin throughout the industrial complex. Investigating the area they see bars showing live footage from the mechanical dogs and serious betting going on. Suddenly two groups of workers appear in front of them, many sporting a '1' on their overalls, the others '13'. A battle commences with more betting happening. Investigating the group finds that this is a shift fight to see who wins before shift 13 goes to work. Zeek gets the idea of recruiting a league of fighters from each city and creating a battle league between each city, using the rail as transport. If only there was an arena.
As they approach sector 11, one of the mechanical hounds starts baying around Zeek in a horrendous grinding noise which attracts the attention of more hounds and then some guards who keep demanding where it is. Confused, the group continue to refuse to have their equipment searched. Eventually one of the guards demands to see the paper, which Zeek then shows the document wallet and, the first time ever, Zeek was too slow to stop the guard slapping a teleporter onto him. Rocky and Tabbatha then start threatening the guards until they too are teleported into the arena.
In the Thunderdome
Zeek, then Rocky and Tabbatha are pitched into the centre of a large arena, with the commentator bellowing 'Welcome to the Thunderdome ... today's fighters are convicted of possessing paper'. The crowd goes wild, shouting at the group. Zeek commanders a mike, shouting that 'This victory is brought to you by chikkinobs - the taste of strength' which swings the crowd onto their side. The cameras zoom in and the announcer shouts 'Let loose the Seps!'
Rising through the sand, four large great whites hovering above the ground threatening the group. Getting the jump on the Seps, the group hammer one into the wall, entangle another and start to chop up the third. Overcharging Adrenal Rage, Tabbatha attacks Rocky to little effect but to the delight of the crowd. Blasting away at the remaining Seps, victory is soon theirs. With a final PR burst, the group are led to see the corporates. Good negotiating skills secures a deal with Industry Town, with Rocky adding in a clause about arms supplies.
Zeek meanwhile goes amongst the proles, observing the fights and tagging the hard ones on retainer contracts for caps as he creates the Chikkinobbs gladiatorial league.
After the deals are done, Zeek receives a phone call from Oryx, the computer controlling the chicken factory that she has located him using something called a GPS signal and that she has located a source of genetic material to improve the gene pool of chickens in the factory. To the north is a park containing some interesting dinosaurs and could they collect some eggs for her to use in the breeding programme. Zeek, cutting through the dialogue, says 'you want an egg to make dino burgers?' and Oryx, sighing agrees.
As the group passes through the entrance to the park, they observe large brachiosaurus, stegosaurus and ankylodons grazing in fields within a large electric fence. Penetrating deeply into the park towards the visitors centre they believe will not be looted because of the presence of the dinosaurs.
As they follow the trail they enter another gateway, passing unaware a sign saying 'Beware the raptors' and soon Rocky's bike develops a puncture. Out of the long grass, four raptors close in on the group from all sides. As Zeek creates his cage of light, Tabbatha gets isolated and it is predator on predator with Tabbatha the slow but sure winner. Zeek's cage of light slowly fried the raptors and Rocky hammered away at the raptors, especially hurling a raptor at the feet of Zeek to be finished off.
Entering through the main doors, the group spread out and loot the building including gaining some Omega tech. The back area of the building lies in ruins and appears to have been converted into a giant nest containing three large eggs. Lifting them, the group place them on the quad bikes but behind them the trees start to sway alarmingly and the ground begins to vibrate.
A squad of robots approaches a set of large steel bunker doors and emit a stream of electronic code. Laser cannons suddenly activate and fragments of robots bounce across the road way. The only sound was the surprised squawk of the lead robot.
Deep inside the headless statue the Serf 'Lenin' hurls a crystal glass of whiskey at the wall. 'What does it take to kill THEM? What have I got LEFT?' Marching over to a model of the landscape he goes 'THEM, they will do it for me'.
